1:1 Coaching FAQ
-
Yes. However, if you are based in the UK, we do recommend that you come to Macclesfield a few times a year for a face-to-face session. We and our clients find that there is enormous value in doing this, in terms of improving your lifting technique and movement, and in developing our coach-athlete relationship.
-
We specialise in providing strength and conditioning coaching for all outdoor and action sports. Most of our clients are cyclists, mountain bikers, climbers, mountaineers, runners, outdoor professionals or multi-sport athletes.
However, we do coach athletes across the sporting spectrum. Strength forms the foundation of all athletic performance, and the fundamentals of athleticism, physiology and human movement span across all sports. If you’d like to chat to us about how strength and conditioning coaching might benefit you in your sport, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
-
Any level! We coach across the spectrum, from beginner to elite. All we ask is that you are motivated and committed to improving your strength, fitness and health over the long-term.
-
None! All of our 1:1 coaching is fully individualised. If you have never been in a gym before then we coach you to lift with the best and safest technique so that over time you become competent, confident and independent. If you are already an experienced lifter, we ensure that you continue to improve your technique and knowledge.
-
Absolutely, although it will depend where you are in your rehab journey. Many of our athletes started their strength and conditioning journey with us with late-stage rehab. If your rehab is still under the management of a physiotherapist or other healthcare professional we will normally ensure that they are happy for you to progress your training load, and we will normally liase with them to ensure that all parties are aligned on the best approach for you.
-
Absolutely! We relish working with other experts to help you meet your goals. Normally, if you work regularly with another coach or professional such as a physiotherapist, we suggest making sure that all parties are aligned on your goals and needs by chatting on the phone initially, and then having regular catch-ups throughout the year.
-
If you’re unable to train for more than 21 days we pause your programme and subscription until you return to training.
